Episode 4: Arizona with Jon Rosenberg

Jon Rosenberg joins Derek to discuss his journey as a broker, which all started with a shared Xerox machine. Jon reveals the steps he took to build LevRose Commercial, one of Arizona's top firms. Jon believes in creating personal relationships to find deals, which has proven effective time and time again.


Jon's three R's - rules he's learned to live by: Reading, Relationships, Reputation

In this episode, Jon and Derek discuss strategies for creating value such as improving suites, increasing revenue, capital improvements, cash flow, inflation and property management.


Jon explains his philosophy in remaining transparent with owners, establishing sincere trust with clients to procure business. At his firm, LevRose Commercial, Jon encourages agents to own real estate, as long as they disclose their intentions to the shop. Derek and Jon discuss the ethical ramifications you can run into, and how to make sure the deal is fair for all parties involved.


Jon shares his advice for brokers looking to own property. He relies on his years of experience to connect with owners and inspire younger brokers to make deals happen.

He advises that consistency is key, and is the driver to successful brokers.

"One of my top guys who's a partner now is still doing deals on phone calls he made seven years ago because he consistently follows up...it's just a matter of time until it turns into a transaction."

About Jon

Originally from New York,  Jon grew up in Scottsdale and is a graduate of the University of Arizona in Tucson. With a background in both commercial brokerage and property management, Jon co-founded Levrose Commercial Real Estate in 1992 with Robert Levine.


Under his leadership, Levrose is a three time honoree as one of the Inc 500/5000 Fastest Growing Companies in the U.S.  Levrose has consistently been named one of the Business Journal’s “Top 25 Commercial Brokerage Firms”, is a multi-year recipient of Costar Groups “Power Broker” Award and in 2020 was named the “#1 Commercial Brokerage Firm” by Ranking Arizona Magazine.


Jon serves on the board and as an active member of Arizona Chapter of Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO) and is on the Board of Directors of TCN Worldwide, an international alliance of commercial real estate firms of which Levrose is the Arizona affialiate . He recently served on the Board of the Arizona Small Business Associate (ASBA) and gives time to serve on committees for the City of Scottsdale, the Jewish Federation of Greater Phoenix,  the University of Arizona Mentorship Society and helps mentor numerous up and coming Entrepreneurs’ in Arizona.


Jon was recently recognized by AZRE Magazine as One of the “Top People to Know in Commercial Real Estate”.  He has been a featured guest on the PBS television show “Arizona Horizons” as well as interviews on numerous podcasts, GlobeStreet.com, the Arizona Republic and the Phoenix Business Journal.
